We open from a position of strength: our stretching beyond year begins with an honest look at how far we've come together. We spend the morning building wisdom: understanding why our most vulnerable children must come first, and strengthening our classroom practice to lift barriers for every child. Running through all this is courage: the courage to be honest about the children our system serves least well, and to stretch beyond what we already do for them. That's what work hard, be honest and help others looks like in practice - and it's how we build excellent schools together.

Gary Aubin is a SEND education specialist who leads Whole Education’s SEND School Improvement programme, serves on the Government’s Curriculum and Assessment Review panel, and is the Education Endowment Foundation’s SEND Associate. He is an author, consultant, and former SEND leader with extensive experience supporting schools, trusts, and educators.Stretching beyond means prioritising need, not just provision. Emily Miles- Autism in Schools Team, Cornwall Council
Emily Miles is an educational professional based in Cornwall who works directly with the local Autism Spectrum and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) support systems. She serves as an point of contact and worker within local educational structures helping to coordinate with educational psychologists and dedicated autism teams.Children can't stretch beyond what they can do today without the skills that make stretch possible - working memory, self-regulation, planning and organisation. Emily will help every school strengthen executive functioning practice, lifting the barriers to progress for all children.

Susie is Executive Principal at the Cabot Learning Federation, leading primary school improvement across the trust.
